iDesign allows students explore the design cycle of analysis, development, and testing. Students have the opportunity explore and experiment, focus on an idea, develop that idea, and through presentation and peer evaluation, modify their designs and products.
The iDesign curriculum explores the following areas:
Programming-design of games and simple movies (GameMaker, Scratch, Alice)
Animation-design simple stick character focused movies (Pivot)
Photo Manipulation and Editing-introduction to basic photo editing (Photoshop)
Movie Production-experience the full movie making process (PhotoStory 3, iMovie)
Presentation Skills-ongoing presentation instruction and experience
3D Modelling– experimentation and self-paced tutorials designing 3D models
